The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Acute Care Bay (ACB) AMU Annex AMU / ACB / AMU Annex Band 5 Registered Nurses
We are looking for dynamic enthusiastic Band 5 nurses to work on the Acute Medical Unit (32 beds) and the Acute Care Bay of our client at the Leicestershire area. The area is a fast paced medical environment where you can gain a wealth of experience in acute medicine. We offer excellent opportunities and support for development. ACB cares for highly dependent acute medical patients. This is a 10 bedded area which provides nurses an excellent opportunity to develop acute nursing skills. The unit receives patients directly from the Emergency Department. The assessment unit and ACB provide the initial assessment and management of medical patients. AMU and ACB are part of the new and exciting emergency floor development at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. The brand new state of the art AMU/ACB opened recently. The Acute Medical Unit Annex (AMU Annex) works closely alongside AMU. The area is a fast paced short stay unit comprising of 28 beds. Patients are admitted to the Annex directly from the emergency floor assessment units. The length of stay for patients is approximately 24 to 48 hours. You will gain knowledge around the discharge process. As a band 5 registered nurse you will rotate between all areas. We work closely to our training and development team.
