Experience

Learning support assistant, Capita Education Resourcing 10/2012-Current
I am currently a learning support assistant for individuals with varying disabilities, helping them develop to the best of their ability. I provide tailored teaching to each and every student by using different teaching methods which appreciate their different learning styles and capabilities.

Administrator, Assunnah Youth Charity 07/2009- 12/2013
In my previous role as an administrator for Assunnah Youth, my main duties included preparing agendas, minute taking, organising small and large events, organising complex meeting, sending out papers and required meeting reports, organising training sessions, answering queries for leads and administrators via phone and email, inducting new staff members, ordering and maintaining relevant office supplies, dealing with post, liaising with Finance department and co-ordinating timely authorisation of invoices. In the absence of my line manager, I ensured that all serious incidences requiring urgent attention were reported and dealt with by relevant leads and team members.

Assistant, Superdrug pharmacy 08/2013-11/2013
I volunteered for Superdrug pharmacy which enabled me to use PharmacyManager when dealing with prescriptions. I was responsible for recording prescribed drugs on PharmacyManager and preparing prescriptions to be dispensed. Speed and accuracy were essential in performing tasks as patients wait. I also recorded private prescriptions, drugs delivered and controlled drugs.

ISoc student President, St Georges University of London 10/2011- 07/2012
In my final year of university, I took up a challenging role as the student president of ISoc. My responsibilities included recruiting and organising the committee, ensuring that everyone knew their roles and that assigned tasks were completed to high standards. I liaised with the university on matters that affected all students and communicated effectively with students. We united people of all faiths or no faith through revision lectures and Charity Week. This is a role I loved to fill as it gave me immense experience as a leader and working as team member.

Healthcare workflow observer, St Georges Healthcare Trust 11/2011- 12/2011
I observed and interviewed hospital staff. Staff were asked how they currently admit and discharge patients. They were then asked about the weakness and strengths of the current workflows. Thereafter, a report was written to suggest ways of improving these workflows. This report was written in a professional manner and the suggestions made were appropriate for a busy hospital environment. Patient confidentiality and hospital regulations were considered when suggesting improvements.
